Games are a great way to get kids excited to practice their sounds.
Before taking a turn, your child says their sound in a word, phrase, or sentence up to 5 times. If your child is working at the reading level, they can read to you, then play a game for a reward! Please refer to the IEP goals or just ask me what level your child is working on!

Language practice can be incorporated into playing games.
Before having your child take a turn, have them:
- describe an item in the room with 2-3 attributes (descriptors)
- compare/contrast 2 items in the room
- state a synonym or antonym for a given word
- state 2-3 meanings for a multiple meaning word
- have them use a complete sentence to describe something in the room, something they did, or something they saw on TV
- answer wh questions about a short story, previous activity, tv show
